QTSteel Software
Calculation of steel structure components and mechanical properties after the heat treatment
QTSteel software enables:
- »decomposition diagram of steel with given chemical composition display
- »special objects cooling curves calculation (round or flat bar, cylinder, ring, pipe) for cooling conditions sequence given by a user (cooling media database)
- »importing temperatures of general 2D-solids, calculated in FEM packages (FLUX, FormFEM)
- »calculation of structure components content (% of ferrite, pearlite, bainite and martensite) and of steel mechanical properties (HV, HB, HRC hardness, yield strength, tensile strength) after quenching and subsequent tempering/annealing for given cooling curve
- »calculation of structure components content (% of ferrite, pearlite, bainite and martensite) and of steel mechanical properties (HV, HB, HRC hardness, yield strength, tensile strength) after quenching and subsequent tempering/annealing across the heat treated body’s cross-section or in its spots under the surface
- »calculation of mechanical properties progression after hardening (tempering/annealing), depending on the depth under the heat treated body surface
Heat treated roll mechanical properties calculation results display
Steel groups supported by QTSteel software:
- »carbon medium alloyed steels – carbon content from 0.06% to 0.5% with alloying elements total amount up to 10%
- »low carbon microalloyed steels – carbon content from 0.06% to 0.4% on condition that Nb + Ti > 0
- »low-alloy tool steels – carbon content from 0.5% to 1.8% with alloying elements total amount up to 5% if carbon content is less than 1.2% or with alloying elements total amount up to 3% if carbon content is more than 1.2%
- »ultra low carbon steels – carbon content from 0.001% to 0.06%
