In the long term and systematically, Pavel Šimeček is engaged in the issues of computer modelling of cooling processes and heat treatment. He participates in the creation and development of mathematical models and specialized programs for computer modelling of various technological processes, especially of production and heat treatment of bars, wires and profile, or in work roll cooling also.
He is the author of many reports, technological studies and papers at professional conferences, seminars and in the professional journals. He has participated in the solutions of many projects in rolling mills in the Czech Republic and abroad.
